The Bedroom Laboratory
A maker collective born from a small Dublin apartment and too many soldering irons.
Started with a few mates in Dublin who liked building things. We deconstructed a Nest thermostat in 48 hours just to see how it worked, built robots, ran workshops, and taught kids to code using doodlebots at 1.50 a head.
We were regulars at Dublin Maker Faire and won the Global Datafest competition alongside IBM and Stanford — 30 cities, 300+ teams, and somehow we came out on top. It was never a business, just a gang of people who thought making things was more fun than watching telly.
